We offer a comprehensive range of workshops for children and In-Service Training for Schools, Prisons, Social Services and Education Authorities. We specialise in race equality, multi-cultural and religious education.
All of our INSET sessions include activities that are hard hitting, informative, practical and fun. There isn’t any brainstorming and we use very few overheads. Each course is individually designed to suit your needs. At the end of the day each participant will have learned a range of skills that they will be able to use in their classroom.
This exciting full day workshop is designed to support many areas of the National Curriculum. It is an ideal starting point to a study of India or as the culmination of work leading to a display or performance.
Many schools include this day as part of an Arts or Multicultural Week.
This full day workshop enables the children in Key Stage 2 to develop an understanding of Muslim communities in Britain and around the world. It helps to redress the negative images of Islam that are often portrayed in the media. It balances serious content with the fascinating Muslim crafts of block printing and tie and dye.
Our Muslim Day will support the teachers in making this area of the R.E. Curriculum relevant and exciting to today’s children.
For a Hindu or Sikh child Diwali, the festival of light, is as exciting as a birthday, Christmas and fireworks night rolled into one.
At the end of this full day workshop each child will have learnt the story of Diwali, be able to identify and name the main characters, and have experienced many of the activities enjoyed by Hindu and Sikh children during Diwali.
